Varshini is a freshman at Carnegie Mellon University, and intends on studying a mixture of computer science (focusing on artificial intelligence) and neuroscience. She was motivated to join Codefy after seeing their emphasis on individualized attention, and as a co-director of outreach, she works to publicize Codefy's many programs, including the free coding classes, the hackathon, and other specialized workshops, to as wide an audience as possible through partnerships, emails, and the media. Outside of Codefy, Varshini is an avid computational neuroscience researcher, and has worked on several research projects on the topic in the past. Her hobbies include singing, musical fusion (between Indian and American music), exploring different food places, and being outside with nature.
